Where to See California Natives (Central Valley, California Area)

The La Loma Native Garden  This is a neighborhood demonstration garden with a fabulous website full of resources for learning about low water use native plants, and supporting pollinators.  The garden is divided into sections including the following: Pollinator mounds, wildflower patch, bird habitat, ground-cover mound, succulent rock gardens, desert area, grass patches, wildflower and grass meadow, drybeds, meditation circle, and blue and white flower areas, and a vegetable garden.  The garden is open to the public, and is a great place to bring the kids!  https://sites.google.com/prod/view/lalomanativegarden

The Learning Landscape:  A volunteer-maintained demonstration garden at the Robert J. Cabral Agricultural Center, located off Airport Way in Stockton, CA  (2101 E. Earhart Ave, Suite 200 Stockton, 95206). This garden is open to the public year-round, and its six miniature landscapes—All-Stars, California Native, Edible, Foliage, Mediterranean, and Pollinator.  All are designed to inspire and educate visitors. Plant specimens are labeled with both scientific and common names; informative signage explains the garden’s sustainable design elements and irrigation system.
